The USDA, ARS, Cropping Systems and Water Quality Research Unit (CSWQRU), Midwest Area, Columbia, Missouri, is seeking an Agricultural Engineer to join our internationally-recognized research team. The CSWQRU mission is to develop knowledge and provide technological solutions to optimize agricultural production systems at the sub-field to watershed scale, for both economic and environmental sustainability. The successful applicant will provide professional engineering support to a multidisciplinary precision agriculture research program, with a focus on developing and applying solutions for acquisition and analysis of data from proximal and remote sensing systems. Duties will include installing, calibrating, and operating systems to collect data and control machine functions on field research equipment; processing and analyzing geospatial data with commercial and custom software; and participating as a team member in the design of research methods and approaches.
