As our impressive growth continues across the MidAtlantic, we are looking for a part-time Assistant Lab Medical Director, Molecular in Oaks, PA
Essential Functions:
Oversees compliance and quality of the molecular laboratory, including NGS testing, as it pertains to local, state, federal and accrediting bodies
Interprets clinical cases in molecular diagnostic studies and use the LIS to release results according to Axia policy and procedure
Collaborates with clinical and laboratory leadership to supervise the development of new assays and oversees R&D, validation, and implementation
Interprets CLIA and CAP regulations as it pertains to molecular pathology and be the subject matter expert in molecular pathology
Troubleshoots and responds to molecular pathology related inquiries from providers and laboratory subordinates
Ensures the quality control and quality assurance programs are effective and maintained
Oversees the establishment and maintenance of acceptable levels of analytical performance are maintained for each test system
Guarantees all necessary remedial actions are taken and documented whenever significant deviations from the laboratory’s established performance specifications are identified
Ensures that reports of test results include pertinent information required for interpretation, and appropriate interpretive comments are included
Review policies, procedures and other quality documents according to schedule and accrediting bodies
Monitor utilization patterns of lab services and advises leadership and appropriate staff of developing trends in clinical service needs
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Foster a unified culture that promotes collaboration and cooperation
Lead and direct the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes for molecular pathology

Required:
MD or Ph.D
Medical License: Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Examiners
AP/CP or ABMG certified, or equivalent.
Preferred:
Previous experience in serving as a CLIA laboratory director.
Previous experience in NGS and Molecular PCR laboratories
