Position Overview As a member of our team, you will develop solutions for water authorities, municipalities, and private clients addressing civil infrastructure, municipal and industrial water/wastewater treatment needs. Work sectors may include water and wastewater systems and treatment, preliminary engineering studies, and infrastructure improvements. You will manage projects, mentor junior staff, interact with existing clients and develop relationships with new clients. Through your work, you will be integrated into a thriving team environment, developing projects and client relationships, and fostering employee growth. Responsibilities In this role you will have responsibilities including: - Project and task management, mentoring junior staff, assisting with business development, and client-relationship management
- Overseeing the successful delivery of project work scope, schedule, and budgets
- Developing design calculations and detailed construction plan sets
- Data review, permitting, and construction observation and administration
- Technical report and proposal writing
- Performing quality control/quality assurance reviews
- Mentoring junior staff.
Location Our preference is to base you in our New Braunfels, Texas office; however, we are open to discussing our Austin, Texas office, if this is your preference. New Braunfels and Austin are in Texas Hill Country and offer access to recreational opportunities, cultural experiences, and a highly diversified quality of life. We encourage you to apply if you: - Have 7 to 12+ years relevant engineering design experience. Relevant experience includes designing civil infrastructure and water and/or wastewater systems, including but not limited to, water storage tanks, water distribution, transmission, storage, pump stations, lift stations, sanitary sewer systems, water and wastewater treatment systems, stormwater drainage, rural and urban roads, and other civil projects
- Are a strong communicator, both orally and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Are a Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- Have experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D or related CAD programs
- Possess strong technical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness, as well as a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables
- Have an interest in maintaining existing client relationships, as well as developing new client relationships
- Have an interest and ability to travel to client locations and other Trihydro offices
- Understand the importance of time management and possess excellent organization skills
- Have a strong driving record and a commitment to safe operations
