We have an opening for a Compliance Team Lead in our Rocky Mountain Plains Region. The candidate chosen to fill this position will lead and oversee compliance efforts for preconstruction planning, construction, and postconstruction operations and maintenance in the mining, transmission, power generation, and oil and gas markets. This position requires leadership, business development, and project delivery expertise in a vast array of services associated with environmental compliance in multiple markets. We seek a self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaborate with local leadership to expand SWCA's market presence and further develop the program.
Responsibilities
Leverage existing partnerships, teaming relationships, and industry relationships to build compliance services revenue.
Manage and lead environmental compliance team and project teams working on a range of small to large infrastructure projects.
Provide professional regulatory and permitting guidance expertise to external clients and internal team members.
Prepare various environmental and regulatory permit applications.
Serve as the regulatory/permit compliance liaison between agencies and clients.
Communicate effectively and proactively with diverse project stakeholders, including regulatory agents, field crews, trade workers, and third parties regarding project status, schedules, and compliance issues.
Qualifications

Program development experience and leadership skills for mentoring diverse professionals supporting compliance projects in various industries.
Proven experience in building new relationships and developing client capture plans.
Project management experience in the Rocky Mountains, Northern Great Plains, and Upper Midwest regions of the United States
Business development acumen and demonstrated experience developing client relationships, including established relationships and prior experience teaming with engineering and construction firms and existing relationships with project developers in the energy, transmission, and generation industries.
Experience working on design build projects, large infrastructure, etc.
Experience with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance during construction and experience in implementing and tracking mitigation measures.
Experience in developing and managing National Pollutant Discharge Eliminations System and state equivalent permits, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), and spill prevention, control, and countermeasure (SPCC) plans.
Experience on alternative delivery projects, particularly Design/Build, CM/GC, and CMAR
Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate in writing, verbally, and graphically.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Working knowledge of federal, state, and local permitting laws and processes
Experience participating in audits according to local, state, and federal regulations.
A B.S. in engineering, environmental science, or related field
A minimum of 8 years of related experience
Experience in mining, transmission, oil and gas, and power generation
