The successful candidate will join an expanding team that consists of seven clinical geneticists (three metabolic), 12 genetic counselors, two dieticians, three nurse practitioners, RN care coordinator, and a metabolic nurse. Full genetics laboratory services on site include biochemical genetics, cytogenetics, and molecular diagnostic labs with on-site whole exome sequencing.

There are a number of active clinical trials or natural history studies conducted through the Division. The associated Research Institute ranks in the top 10 free standing pediatric research centers for NIH funding. Additionally, a main strategic focus at Nationwide Children’s is the implementation of genomic medicine across the hospital led by the new Institute of Genomic Medicine, which is closely affiliated with the Division of Genetic and Genomic Medicine.

Qualified applicants must be board eligible or board certified in Clinical Genetics. It is expected that the position will be filled at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. Medical Biochemical certification and/or interest in Cardiovascular Genetics are a plus.
