Huitt-Zollars' Seattle, Washington Office has a full-time Rail Transit Manager opportunity. The successful candidate will be a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Washington with experience managing projects for transit agencies. This role includes marketing, business development, client management, and project management for transit agencies in the Seattle, WA Region, and has opportunities to work on transportation projects for other offices. Lead marketing and business development efforts for Rail Transit clients including Sound Transit, Pierce Transit, King County Metro and other transit agencies in the state of Washington.
Serve as project Manager for rail transit projects. Develop, oversee, and monitor project activities including scope, budge and schedule management.
Recruit, mentor and manage supporting staff for rail transit projects.
Participate in rail transit organizations (e.g., APTA).
Support companywide rail transit initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's Degree preferred).
Professional Engineer registered in state of Washington or ability to obtain license.
Minimum 15 years engineering design experience with 5-10 years rail transit project management experience.
Experience and relationships with Seattle region rail transit preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management scheduling and financial tools
Proficient in MicroStation and ProjectWise preferred.
Excellent organizational, verbal and written communications skills.
