We are seeking a mid-level Environmental Engineer for Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) support, planning and technical analyses based on regulatory requirements for compliance of stormwater permits and other related work as required. The successful candidate will perform assignments of limited but increasing scope and complexity to develop the knowledge and abilities of the engineer. The assignments require evaluative thinking and are carried out in accordance with standard engineering practices and general work instructions. Completed work is used as a basis by others to further engineering projects. The work performed is under the supervision of a higher-level engineer.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in environment, civil or chemical engineering
Make engineering computations, sketches and engineering drawings
Interpret and check design details, estimates, engineering plans and specification for accuracy of engineering details
Effectively express ideas verbally and in writing
Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
Ability to analyze state and federal stormwater best management practice requirements and guidelines and apply to current implementation
Experience with H&H modeling (either professionally or through coursework)
Experience with GIS-based watershed modeling tools (i.e. MapShed)
Ability to manipulate and present data in database management software (Access or SQL Server)
Programming skills in Visual Basic, Python, MatLab
