Assistant Professor - Tenure Track Cell and Molecular Biology Department of Biology
Teaching responsibilities will include upper division courses in cell and molecular biology, lower division core courses in the biology major, and non-majors courses. Advising of majors is expected. The successful candidate will develop a research program involving undergraduate and graduate students in the cellular and molecular biology of a non-vertebrate model system.
Ph.D. or ABD (with Ph.D. by August 1, 2019) in Cell Biology or related field (Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university)
Evidence of active research in cellular biology of non-vertebrate systems with the potential to engage Southeast students in significant research activities
Experience teaching at college/university level as a graduate assistant, instructor or above
Demonstrated commitment to collegiality when interacting with others within and outside the University community
Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
