The Russ College of Engineering and Technology, Engineering Technology & Management (ETM) Department at Ohio University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the assistant or associate professor rank starting Fall Semester 2019 at our campus in Athens, Ohio.
This position is focused on undergraduate/graduate development and teaching in the area of Product Design, Operations, Project Management, and Production Manufacturing (utilizing our general manufacturing lab).
The person in this position may also teach one or more of the following: operations management, product design, project management, supervision and leadership, Lean, CAD, and applied research, depending on background and areas of expertise. Some classes may be taught off campus at various Ohio University locations in Ohio.
In addition to teaching and undergraduate development the position holder will also be expected to conduct scholarly research, perform service to the department and/or university, and advise students.
The ETM Department has extensive laboratory facilities and is well known for providing a balance of theory and hands-on education. The Department’s mission is to prepare students for entry into professional practice primarily to be leaders in industry. The BS ETM degree program is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). Graduates of this program find career opportunities upon graduation as Manufacturing Engineers, Project Engineers, Quality Engineers, Application and Sales Engineers, to name a few.

Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Engineering Technology, Engineering, Industrial Technology or a closely related field (foreign equivalent degrees acceptable), and a minimum of three years relevant industrial experience. (Doctorate is required prior to tenure and promotion consideration.)
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and/or professional leadership.
