This position sells products in the industrial instrumentation industry for manufacturer or distributor to business and industrial establishments or individuals at sales office, store, showroom or customer’s place of business. (Territory of Northwest Washington Area)
•Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web site and other sources
•Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.
•Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog and emphasizes salable features.
•Quotes prices, credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained with assistance from Inside Sales personnel
•Estimates dates of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm’s production and delivery schedules.
•Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts within 30 days of date of expense.
•Observe safety and security procedures: Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
•Maintain relationship with assigned inside sales designee for daily communication, quoting and order entry.
•Collaborate with Inside Sales and Technical Support to determine customers’ needs.
•Utilize company approved CRM to maintain customer data base, track projects and opportunities and provide reports to Managers.
•Penetrate all targets accounts and radiate sales from within client base
•Investigates and resolves customer problems and deliveries
•Responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle from cold calling to after sales support. Including: identifying opportunities; product specification; presentations to end users, facility engineering and maintenance personnel; interaction with purchasing; product commissioning support.
•Attends tradeshows, training and other meetings on behalf of company.
•Coordinates customer training
Additional Salary Information: In addition this position is eligible for the commission compensation plan.
