This individual will support the overall Quality Management System, lead all local Supplier Quality activities and be responsible for the management and results of the North America plant supplier quality teams. Additionally, working with Purchasing, Supplier Development, and Quality, the individual will be responsible for driving the improvement of suppliers’ processes and quality systems. The responsible person and their team will track and monitor supplier quality performance, drive corrective actions, and manage the supplier auditing system and process. This person is required to provide direct and indirect leadership, work cross functionally, lead both internal and external supplier teams and have a demonstrated knowledge of quality systems. The responsible person will participate in, and lead as needed, Global Electrolux teams – including Quality and Supplier Quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand, communicate and work within Electrolux methodologies and policies
Coordinate and lead supplier process verification activities, PPAP processes, and supplier quality system audits
Manage the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for North American operations.
Participate in and lead Global Electrolux Supplier Quality teams and activities – including process standardization, system development and improvement, global supplier evaluation
Provide leadership to the North America plant Supplier Quality teams, and create an environment of trust and mutual respect that allows team members to accomplish goals and objectives
Develop KPIs for the Supplier Quality team, and regularly monitors results. Perform regular performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching of team members.
Lead Supplier Quality process improvement efforts, and drive necessary system improvements.
Establish close working relationships with all Electrolux operating teams.
Facilitate training to Electrolux personnel on QSI system usage, GSQA, standardized quality systems audits and PPAP processes
Represent Supplier Quality during new product development processes.
Perform additional duties as assigned
BS, Engineering or equivalent. Masters degree preferred
5 to 7 years experience in the Quality profession, managing direct reports.
Experience working in the supplier quality field preferred
Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
